2nd Annual themed art show in celebration of Jewish Disability Awareness Acceptance and Inclusion Month
February 26-March 29
CALL FOR ARTISTS OF ALL LEVELS
Themed art show: How do we make meaning of the concept of community, the real and imagined spaces we inhabit? What does community longing look like and what are the possibilities for belonging in an ever changing world.
This is an unjuried call to artists of all level, ability, perspective faith and social location to participate in a community art show in celebration of Jewish Disability Awareness Acceptance and Inclusion Month. Art will be exhibited from February 26th to March 29th in the Sidney and Gertrude Zack Gallery at the Jewish Community Center.
This year, each artist will be given a 16×16 canvas to interrogate and explore this social challenge. Canvases will be available for pick up January 13th onwards until we have run out. Completed canvases are due back February 17th at 4:00pm. Artists names and titles should be included on the back of the canvas.
There will be an opening for the exhibition on February 26 from 7:00-9:00 and artists will have the pleasure of inviting their friends and families to the event.
