Best-selling romance novelist Paul Sheldon (James Caan) is on his way home from his Colorado writer’s retreat when a blizzard causes him to run off the road. As luck would have it, he’s rescued by former nurse and his self-professed #1 fan, Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates in her Oscar-winning performance). Annie takes great pride and joy in becoming his nursemaid – that is, until her bedside manner becomes the thing of nightmares Paul could never have imagined.
In Jérémy Comte’s 2018 Academy Award-nominated short film Fauve, two boys spend the day flirting with stunts on the edge of their small town. They play at killing each other – all in good fun – until circumstances begin to spiral beyond their control and the friendly games turn into tragedy.
