Toronto Disability Pride March 2019

Toronto Disability Pride March

This year’s march is going to be a little different. On July 9, we lost our dear friend and fellow organizer Kevin Jackson, who is also the partner of another organizer, Melissa Graham. We will still be marching, as Kevin would have wanted, from Queens Park (111 Wellesley Street West). At the end of the march, we will be celebrating Kevin’s life in place of our annual end of march celebration. We hope you will join us to help Kevin rest in power.

The Toronto Disability Pride March aims to promote a cross-disability atmosphere, that also recognizes other forms of oppression such as race, class, gender, sexuality, sanism, etc. We believe the disability movement is strongest in a harmony of voices, not one homogeneous voice. We ask all those who plan to attend the march to respect this approach and the other people within the space of the march.
