Hilary Hlagy

Canada - Nova Scotia

Heli is a fat queer nonbinary artist currently living and practicing in the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. Their practice centres around the ideas and emotions exchanged between artist and viewer. Focusing on the message over the medium, Heli’s practice includes an ever-expanding list of materials and forms. Through their work they often address identity and trauma. Heli works to create approachable conversations on difficult topics in order to make art accessible and inclusive.
