Alethea Bakogeorge is a physically disabled artist, administrator, and arts accessibility professional. As the Accessibility Manager at The Musical Stage Company, she oversees all organizational accessibility initiatives, serving both artists and audiences. Alethea additionally teaches and consults with organizations across Canada on disability representation in the arts, meeting access needs, and disability-inclusive organizational change. Prior to working with The Musical Stage Company, she worked extensively in American and Canadian theatre. She maintains an active acting career as a disabled actor, where her favourite credits include originating the role of Chrissie in the US national tour of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live: King for a Day, and Kaliope in She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms at the University of California Santa Barbara. Alethea holds a BFA in Music Theatre and a BFA in Arts Administration from Viterbo University, and a Professional Development Award in Leadership in Accessibility and Inclusion from Toronto Metropolitan University.
