Image 1: Timothy, a white male with glasses and scruffy facial hair, is sitting against a black backdrop. He is wearing a black sweater with a faint argyle pattern. He is smiling.

Timothy is an ASL-English interpreter who works in Toronto, Ontario. Before completing the ASL-English interpreting program, Timothy completed a Bachelor's Degree in History and Linguistics. At the same time, he also began learning ASL from members of the Deaf community and making community connections. Over time, his friends from the community encouraged him to become an interpreter and continue serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. Timothy's lived experiences as a member of the Mad and LGBTQ+ communities have shown him the importance of doing the work of unpacking and recognizing his own oppressive practices. Having worked with Young People's Theatre, the Fringe Festival, the Canadian Stage, and other community organizations, Timothy is passionate about supporting Deaf-lead accessibility initiatives and contributing to accessibility in creative spaces.
