Finding Your Story Through Movement

Hosted by Public Energy Performing Arts

The Common Threads Collective is excited to offer their third workshop series in their Land(ing) project, supported through the Public Energy artist in residence program and the Ontario Arts Council.

This workshop is a unique opportunity for exploring personal stories, combining movement and artmaking in a safe group setting.

Dance artist and therapist Mithila Ballal and writer and theatre artist Kate Story will lead the group as we explore a “crossroads” incident in our personal lives, using drawing, movement, and choreography to allow participants to see, hear, share, and move through moments of transformation from our own experiences.

Take this opportunity to get inspired and enjoy a sense of community after a long period of isolation and lockdowns.

This workshop is to be delivered via Zoom. However, if lockdown restrictions are lifted, the workshop will shift to an in-person model. We can accommodate those living with disabilities. If you breathe, you dance! Let us know if you have special needs when you register and we will do our best to accommodate you.
