ALLways: Accessibility thinking and practice

This introductory access in the arts class, presented by acclaimed disability arts ensemble Kinetic Light, is a three hour, online, hands-on workshop for arts organizations, administrators and event organizers with new to intermediate experience levels with disability accessibility.  This session is customized for smaller organizations and teams with limited budgets.  The ALLways method, based in Kinetic Light's research and practice, uses fundamental principles of equity and hospitality to help you learn how to create equitable accessibility for your events, organizations, and audiences.  Learn: _ _WHY and HOW equitable access practice benefits your organization, artists, and work How to increase your audience with smart, accessible communications, outreach, and community building techniques Equitable and meaningful access _implementation _for physical, digital, and asynchronous events _Plug in _to a community of arts professionals for ongoing support, resources, and best practice development ASL/CART/AD included.  We offer a sliding registration fee scale based on organization size for this event to increase financial accessibility.  Please reach out to Laurel Lawson at laurel@kineticlight.org with any questions.  If you can't make this workshop stay tuned for upcoming workshops throughout 2021
