Call for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Research Creation

The New Frontiers in Research funded project Frictions of Futurity and Cure in Transplant Medicine: Re-Thinking Central Challenges Through Feminist/Crip Science and Technology Studies seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar in Research Creation working in any of the following areas: critical disability studies, transplant medicine, medical assistance in dying, feminist science and technology studies, crip technoscience.

The Postdoctoral Scholar will work closely with the Project Team to develop a research creation project that explores larger themes emerging from the _Frictions of Futurity _project. The particular domain of research creation should engage forms of visualization (broadly construed), and can include mixed media installation, performance ethnography, documentary, other performance, electronic, digital media, or visual arts; preference will be given to proposals that include multi-sensory/multimodal practices. There is a two-stage application process. In the first stage, we will select a candidate. In the second stage we will work with the candidate to submit a proposal to VISTA to apply for the fellowship. Vision: Science to Applications (VISTA), is a Canada First Research Excellence Fund project that links perceptual and behavioral neuroscience, computer vision, robotics, digital arts and media at York University.
