Learn more about grants at the Canada Council for the Arts. There are exciting new opportunities for ASL/LSQ theatre in the Translation component of Arts Across Canada.

The Translation component of Arts Across Canada funds activities linked to the translation of Canadian dramatic works into French, English, an Aboriginal (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) language, American Sign Language (ASL), Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ), or any other regional Canadian or Indigenous sign language for Canadian publication or presentation.

SOUND OFF is Canada’s national festival dedicated to the Deaf performing arts. SOUND OFF brings Deaf artists from across the country to share their stories, their talents and the beauty of American Sign Language on stage. Also occurring alongside SOUND OFF, the Chinook Series Festival is a collaboratively curated performance experience, bringing artists and communities together to share and celebrate through live art.
