Call for Applications: Artist To Facilitator Program
Hosted by Embrace Arts Foundation
Embrace’s “Artist to Facilitator” is a training cohort for local artists who self identify as disabled or neurodivergent. Four local artists will be selected to take part in a training artist over the summer, and then in autumn will be facilitating free community programs as a final practicum.
Embrace’s “Artist to Facilitator” is for local* artists who self identify as disabled or neurodivergent. Participants must be over the age of 18 to apply.
No previous formal arts training is required, as this program is in place for artists who may face significant barriers to conventional training opportunities.
The applicant must have an emerging or established arts practice that they want to share with the community. This could include: dance, music, theatre, visual and/or tactile art, writing, or multidisciplinary work.
*Due to the nature of this program, all applicants must be located in the Greater Victoria area. Embrace primarily works out of the traditional territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Esquimalt and Songhees Nations) and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples, and this is where the Artist to Facilitator program will be taking place.
If you have questions related to applying for the program, don't hesitate to get in touch with us at email@example.com.
