Call for Submissions: EMANATA

Conundrum Press is thrilled to announce the launch of its new young adult graphic novel imprint, EMANATA, curated by award-winning author Sarah Sawler. Sawler will take on the role of EMANATA’s YA Acquisitions Editor in addition to their current role as Conundrum Press’s Marketing Manager.

“Conundrum Press is thrilled to welcome Sarah Sawler aboard, to expand the horizons of the press in the burgeoning YA graphic novel field,” says Conundrum Press publisher Andy Brown. “Sarah has proven invaluable to Conundrum in so many ways and we are excited to work on this new imprint with them.”

EMANATA is mandated to produce exceptional graphic novels for a young adult audience. EMANATA graphic novels rely on a seamless blend of words and pictures to tell compelling, character-driven fiction and non-fiction stories. By focusing on work created by comic artists living in Canada and striving for social equity, EMANATA seeks to introduce fresh, strong, and under-represented voices to the international young adult and graphic novel markets.

EMANATA is now seeking young adult graphic novel submissions from agents representing comic artists living in Canada.

Deaf and Disabled, POC, and 2SLGBTQIA+ creators are encouraged to submit with or without an agent.
