Call for Storytellers

Hosted by JAYU

We all have stories to tell. Why not share yours? For pride month, we are celebrating storytellers from the LGBTQ2SI+ community! In partnership with True Stories (Told Live) and Queers In Your Ears, join us for an evening of inspiring stories from a variety of amazing speakers.

Do you have a story to share? Register now and successful applicants will be paired with an experienced storyteller to help you shape your story. Our mentors will guide and equip you with the confidence, tools and skills to make sure your story is ready to share live with the rest of the world on June 29th!

All storytellers will receive an honorarium of $100.00.

Registration closes on May 20th at 4PM

JAYU is a registered Canadian charity and a leader in the space where the arts and human rights intersect. We believe strongly that the arts provide the strongest platform to share human rights stories. The arts can be used to educate, to build empathy, to heal, to forge community and to inspire the kinds of conversations necessary to reimagine a more just and equitable world. Guided by our dedicated team of staff, artists, educators and our Board of Directors, our year-round programming includes our annual Human Rights Film Festival, our iAM arts and social justice training program, The Hum Podcast and our Human Rights Screening Series.
