Summer Positon: Fundraising Coordinator

Hosted by Edmonton Fringe Theatre

You are an emerging arts administrator and/or fundraiser with a keen understanding of (or a committed interest in learning about) the charitable sector. You fundamentally believe that a healthy arts and culture scene helps build a healthy city. You’re a people-person who loves to network. Whether it’s over the phone, over email, or in person (health restrictions allowing, of course), you love a good conversation, and building lasting relationships is important to you. You’re detail oriented and love managing all the little bits that make up the big picture. Databases and information management really turn your crank. You are a creative problem solver who’s driven by results. You bring a collaborative, open, and positive energy to everything you do, but you take initiative and can work independently. A passion for Fringe, live theatre, and the local arts scene helps, too!

Canada Summer Jobs – Internship Position supported by the Government of Canada. Open to applicants 30 years of age or younger

Edmonton Fringe Theatre

10330 – 84 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T6E 2G9, Canada

Since 1982, the Edmonton International Fringe™ Theatre Festival has been delighting, shocking, and surprising audiences. We were founded by Brian Paisley, who at the time was the Artistic Director of Chinook Theatre. Brian was inspired to develop North America’s first Fringe Festival after visiting the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe has been defying the norm since 1947, when eight theatre companies were denied admittance to an international festival. The companies teamed up and performed their shows on the fringes of the festival, hence Fringe was born. More than 200 Fringe Festivals take place each year across the globe. Of the 23 in North America, Edmonton’s Fringe Festival is the oldest and largest!
