The Prelude: Thurga Kanagasekarampillai & Dr. Jenelle Rouse

Hosted by Theatre Passe Muraille

For the special final edition of our Prelude community events for this season, we are so delighted to welcome Deaf Tamil Queer artist Thurga Kanagasekarampillai and educator and visual body-movement artist Dr. Jenelle Rouse in conversation about artistic and community resilience during this time of staying-at-home.

Moderated by our Metcalf Artistic Intern Rinchen Dolma, this discussion will also touch upon their experience working on the re-imaginings of our June double bill of May I Take Your Arm? and Ephemeral Artifacts.

This event will be held over Zoom on Saturday June 19th, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The event will last around one hour and 30 minutes. You will need to register in order to receive a link to the event.

This conversation will be in both ASL and English with ASL-to-English interpretation as well as English-to-ASL interpretation provided by Sign Language Interpreters Aneesa Mustafa, Carmelle C, and Rogue Benjamin. Zoom auto-captions will also be available for this event.
