Call for Applications: Reel Ideas Coordinator
Founded in 1997, the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival (Reel Asian) is a unique showcase of contemporary Asian cinema and work by East, South and Southeast Asian artists and the Asian diaspora. As Canada’s largest pan-Asian film festival, Reel Asian provides a public forum for Asian media artists and their workand fuels the growing appreciation for Asian cinema in Canada.
In addition to the annual film festival, Reel Asian organizes year-round programming and educational initiatives in partnership with local schools and artsorganizations around the GTA. Reel Asian will be celebrating its 25th annual festival with an online edition in November 2020.
Reporting to the Education & Industry Programmer, the Reel Ideas Coordinator will be responsible forthe following:
- Support Education and Industry programmer on administrative and logistical tasks leading up to and during the 25th Reel Asian Film Festival including Industry events such as Pitch, Bootcamp and the Reel Ideas Conference
- Support production of live events with programmer and digital production coordinators
- Support during live events through moderating comments and chats, and dropping relevant links and assets into the chat during sessions
