After each Art SPARKS session, you will be invited to respond to what you learned. Help spark the future of BEING Studio.

July 7: Talking about Disability Art & Culture with Kevin Gotkin

  • What is special and unique about disability art and culture?
  • Why should we celebrate and promote it?

Artist Kevin Gotkin will share artwork and recent projects with us. Kevin’s artwork is often about the accessibility of media production, especially audio description and captioning. Kevin regularly hosts playful and participatory online events as part of the REMOTE ACCESS nightlife series. Kevin is passionate about building a movement for disability arts to thrive in New York City.

ASL interpretation and closed captioning will be available.
