Open Submissions for Crowsnest Corner
After a 15-month closure, it’s TIME TO PLAY. Crow’s Theatre is hosting an open call for musical artists and bands to perform live outdoors as part of a new program to RELAUNCH STREETCAR CROWSNEST this summer called “Crowsnest Corner” from Late Summer and into the Fall.
Crowsnest Corner will feature bands to an outdoor audience in the heart of the popular Leslieville neighborhood at Dundas & Carlaw. The performers and audience will abide all municipal and provincial COVID-19 policies and regulations and enjoy an outdoor eating and drinking experience at Gare de l’Est.
We are looking for local solo acts, duos, and trios, in genres including but not limited to jazz, bluegrass, folk, classical, blues, R&B, soul, country, reggae, soft-pop-rock and everything in between. We seek different types of interesting and eclectic musical artists and arrangements, and are looking forward to showcasing your music to our vibrant East-End audience.
Crow’s Theatre is committed to supporting the work of artists that represent the diverse communities we serve, including IBPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and individuals from other equity-seeking groups; and we are excited to present the music of artists that represent the diversity and richness of our city. In this regard, at least 50% of artists presented will be from these communities. We would love to showcase as many East-Enders as possible!
