Call for Submissions: The Disability Writes Project

Hosted by The Disability Collective

We are absolutely thrilled to announce our next initiative, The Disability Writes Project!

This project will feature plays, poetry, short stories, scripts, songs, novels, and more from writers with disabilities.

Over the coming months, we will be presenting these works in a variety of ways, including workshops, readings, and more!

We are currently accepting submissions from disabled writers! If you are interested in submitting your work, visit thedisabilitycollective.com and submit now!

All selected artists will be paid an honorarium for their participation in this initiative.

Due to a large number of requests, the deadline for submissions has been extended! We will now be accepting submissions until Sunday, August 15 at 11:59 PM.

If you have any questions or need extra time for your submission, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at team@thedisabilitycollective.com.

The Disability Collective

The Disability Collective is a community of disabled artists dedicated to celebrating and showcasing disability in the arts. TDC strives to de-stigmatize disability and challenge perceptions of what disability looks like through promoting disabled artists in a variety of forms, including live performances, virtual showcases, visual art shows, readings, and more. We believe that disability can be defined in many ways, including physical impairments, mental health conditions, emotional disabilities, sensory disabilities, cognitive challenges, and chronic illnesses.
