Training Jam with Jeanette Kotowich

Let’s gather in time and space - to connected with embodied practices and inhabit land, landscape, & site as individuals and a collective. Bring your courageous hearts as we intentionally explore specific values to nourish our practices - being identified in my research of Cree/Nêhiyaw cosmology. Together we will stoke our fires with compassion, kindness, bravery & joy.

Jeanette Kotowich is a multi-disciplinary iskwêw, independent dance artist, creator, choreographer and Auntie Culture enthusiast of Nêhiyaw (Cree) Métis and mixed settler ancestry. My work references Nêhiyaw cosmology, protocol, de-colonial practices, ritual, relationship to the natural/spirit world and Ancestral knowledge. My practice is intergenerational and vocational; it’s a living and lived experience.

ASL interpretation will be provided.
