Communications & Outreach Coordinator

The New Gallery (TNG) is seeking a bright, community-minded individual to join our highly collaborative team in the role of Communications & Outreach Coordinator (C&OC).

The C&OC reports to the Director and has a working relationship with TNG’s staff, volunteers, and Board of Directors. The C&OC are the staff lead for external communications and are responsible for developing and implementing outreach initiatives.

The successful candidate will have an interest in contemporary art and artist-run culture, and a passion for working with communities. They will be supportive of TNG’s ongoing efforts to be an equitable, accessible, and inclusive organization, and bring these values into their daily work. TNG is also looking for applicants who are detail-oriented, reliable, and who excel at collaborating with others. Additional skills sets include: exemplar communication skills; copy editing experience; adept with social media platforms and social media management tools (i.e. Mailchimp, Later, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace; and experience in program development. Previous design experience and additional language skills in any Chinese dialects, French, or Indigenous languages from Treaty 7 are considered assets. The willingness to work evenings and weekends is required.
