OAC Recommender Grants Info Session

Hosted by Tangled Art + Disability

Are you seeking funds for an art exhibition or theatrical work? Maybe Tangled Art + Disability can help.

Tangled is one of the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) Recommenders for their Exhibition Assistance & Theatre Creator Grants. This means that Tangled chooses a group of people with lived experience of Deaf, Mad, and Disability culture to decide which applications receive funding.

We will discuss the two Recommender grants, have a question and answer period, and an artist talk from Carmen Papalia, who has been awarded a Tangled Arts OAC Recommender Grant in the past.

We will provide information on:

  • How the grants work
  • Eligibility and ineligibility
  • How to apply
  • Tips for applications
  • Access and access funding
  • How the jury process works

Accessibility

ASL interpretation and live captioning will be provided. Presentation slides, video, and a transcript of the event will be available afterwards.
