September Describer Café

Hosted by VocalEye

The last Friday of the month is fast approaching, which means VocalEye’s Describer Cafés are back! Join us via Zoom if you are a professional, student, AD user and/ or access provider (or simply interested in learning about audio description!). Our autumn cafés explore the theme of "describing diversity".

September's Café will focus on the describer experience with a panel of diverse describers from across Canada: Lynn Chen (Vancouver Art Gallery ), Sthembiso Mthombeni (Descriptive Video Works , Vancouver), Rebecca Singh (Superior Description , Toronto) and Kent Staines (Descriptive Video Works , Toronto).

Hosted by Amy Amantea, dive in and discuss how diverse perspectives enhance and enrich the writing and voicing of description, the importance of representation, cultural literacy and more!

Friday, September 24 at 11 am Pacific Time Free to attend, everyone is welcome.
