The Professional Association of Canadian Theatres is a member-driven organization of professional Canadian theatres. For the betterment of Canadian theatre, PACT provides leadership, national representation, and a variety of programs and practical assistance to member companies, enabling members to do their own creative work.
The Programs Assistant is an important part of a small team working closely together in service of professional theatres across Canada. This role is responsible for coordinating PACT’s Region & Caucus network (groups that meet regularly based on their shared location or theatre practices), as wells as providing administrative and practical support for PACT’s other learning and networking programs (such as professional development webinars, town hall events, and peer support meetings).
As our Programs Assistant, you will be working with and reporting to the Learning, Networking, & Conference Manager. This a new position and can be shaped with the successful candidate based on their unique skill set.
This is a part-time position (15 hours per week / 0.4 FTE). While PACT’s headquarters are in Toronto, our staff continues to work from home and most of our programs took place online even before the pandemic – so candidates for this position can be based anywhere in Canada where reliable high-speed internet is available. The schedule is flexible, but does require some consistent availability during peak hours for programming (weekdays from 1pm to 4pm ET). Extra hours may be available during certain major events, such as PACT’s annual conference.
The deadline for applications is 11:59 pm ET on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021.
