Call for Applications: Metro Studio After Dark

Hosted by Intrepid Theatre Company

We are looking for new work from local artists to share as part of our 'After Dark' Series. This could be a 20-30 minute piece that could be shared in a mixed program cabaret, a livestream or video piece, or installation project. We have a COVID-19 safety plan and we will work with you to ensure that your performance adheres to this. There will be a short tech rehearsal included.

This is an open call for local artists to apply to this curated new work series. We are looking for technically simple pieces that are either new or in early stages of development, are between 20 and 30 minutes in length, and have simple technical requirements. We will provide a technician, sound system, and the streaming platforms and low-tech gear for livestreams. Performances that can be tightly framed for the livestream (ie: not full stage) work best. You can see past examples on Intrepid Theatre's Facebook from OUTstages and UNO After Dark.

Now that we are back doing live theatre at The Metro Studio, we are looking to program new work cabarets that would feature multiple artists in one show.

We want to hear from diverse local artists from all performance disciplines (dance, theatre, music, performance art, opera, spoken word)

Applications are due end of day November 3.
