Let’s Talk Art: Culturally Diverse Aesthetics in Mural Art

Hosted by Neighbourhood Arts Network

Presented in partnership with Mural Routes as part of the National Mural Symposium, Let’s Talk Art: Culturally Diverse Aesthetics in Mural Art will provide insight into how international cultural aesthetics have influenced three award winning artists in Canada.

Multidisciplinary artists Poonam Sharma, Aitak Sorahitalab, and Kseniya Tsoy will present about their artistic (and mural) practice, influenced by the cultural aesthetics of their home countries. The artists will discuss their experiences as immigrant women producing mural art, the barriers faced, as well as the change needed in order to build more spaces for diverse aesthetics in public art.

This webinar will have ASL interpretation and closed captioning. For other accessibility requests, please email ines@torontoarts.org by November 10th.
