Call for Projects: Créer des ponts
Créer des ponts is an ambitious initiative that consists in offering an ephemeral creative workshop for 3 months to 20 emerging artists (or collectives). Located on some major commercial arteries of Montreal, these workshops are open to the general public and are accompanied by a rich program of activities that each allow the meeting of the artists and their work. It is through a historical alliance with the real estate sector that Art Souterrain is able to invest vacant commercial spaces into a place of production, exhibition and meeting.
This large-scale summer event is part of our desire to support emerging artists and to participate in the cultural life of Montreal’s neighbourhoods.
We recognize that Art Souterrain’s activities take place in spaces located in unceded territories: places where different Aboriginal nations live, meet and gather.
Deadline to apply: April 24th We will review the proposals on a rolling basis. We recommend to apply as soon as you have gathered all the elements of your submission.
Art Souterrain is committed to achieving representation, diversity and inclusion in its actions. The organization is actively committed to strengthening the representation of different communities, as well as providing an inclusive and accessible work environment for all employees and applicants.
As such, we encourage applicants to self-identify if they are a member of one or more of the following designated groups: women, Aboriginal peoples (First Nations, status or non-status, Métis or Inuit), visible minorities, sexually and/or gender diverse persons and/or persons living with a mental condition and/or visible or invisible disability.
