Listening Party: Introductory Audio Series for The Cave

Hosted by Common Boots Theatre, Luminato Festival

Be first to hear Common Boots' Introductory Audio Series for The Cave. This series introduces the creators, director, and cast of the show, and features interviews with behind-the-scenes stories, discussions of themes, descriptions of staging and design elements, as well as snippets of the upcoming album for The Cave. This event will also include a Q&A with Common Boots Artistic Director and cast member of The Cave, Derek Kwan.

The Cave is an inter-species song cycle/cabaret about why all the animals sought refuge, with lyrics by Tomson Highway, music by John Millard, and book by Martha Ross. The Cave is produced by J Mar Electric, presented by the Luminato Festival at Theatre Passe Muraille June 15-26, 2022.

Sung in English and Cree, this 75-minute sung-through story cabaret combines live music and immersive visuals with wry humour and poignant storytelling. Intimate and entertaining, The Cave is a timely parable about the folly of our actions and the impact on friends and foes alike of the climate crisis that rages around us. A Luminato Festival presentation in association with Theatre Passe Muraille, June 15-26.
