Join Propeller Dance and GCTC in a joyful celebration of Ian Dury’s birthday, of his riotous disability anthem, “Spasticus Autisticus,” and of the disability justice movement.

  • Ed Hanley’s film montage of four incarnations of Propeller’s ever-evolving Spasticus
  • framed by two performances of Ian Dury’s “Spasticus Autisticus”
  • one a madcap, energetic, gleeful video from Graeae Dance Theatre of Great Britain
  • the other, a wonderful, mesmerizing one-woman “dance translation” by Dutch sign-dancer, Mirjam Stolk
