Hosted by Toronto Arts Council

Learn more about Toronto Arts Council's Artists in the Library grants program at our upcoming information session!

Are you a professional artist, arts organization or collective that wants to explore a project idea at a Toronto Public Library? Join our information session to learn more about Toronto Arts Council's Artists in the Library funding program, in partnership with Toronto Public Library.

Artists in the Library provides funding to professional artists, arts organizations and collectives working in any artistic discipline (i.e.: theatre, dance, music, literary arts, visual arts, media arts, community-engaged arts, Indigenous arts, Black arts, disability arts, arts education, etc.) to undertake community-engaged artist residencies at a partnering Toronto Public Library branch. This grant may cover up to 100% of project costs, including artist fees, equipment rental, materials, and other residency and programming costs.

Eligible activities include, but are not limited to: artistic research, participatory programs, community-engaged projects, visual and media arts installations, screenings and exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, open studios, arts education and mentorship programs, performances, and other arts activities that are open to the public. The grant amount is $20,000.
