Professional Development and Training Coordinator

Reporting to the Managing Directors of CEAD and Playwrights' Workshop Montréal , the Professional Development and Training Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of the services offered by the CEAD and PWM.

Working closely with the CEAD dramaturgs and PWM’s Artistic Director, the Training Coordinator will:

  • Document trends, issues and professional challenges specific to playwrights;
  • Identify the professional development needs of the target audience;
  • Submit a realistic and appropriate action plan, in keeping with strategic orientations;
  • Lead committees to prioritize the workshops and sponsorships offered;
  • Participate in the selection of trainers and other resource people;
  • Negotiate and draft service contracts with suppliers;
  • Manage registration for training activities;
  • Manage specific budgets for training activities;
  • Write applications for financial assistance and follow up on projects;
  • Produce accountability reports;
  • Participate in the office of both organizations and the various professional development committees;
  • Encourage solid collaborations and partnerships
