Magan Harms is the 2021 recipient of the American Council of the Blind‘s (ACB) Audio Description Achievement Award for an individual in the field of performing arts. Magan joined the MindsEye staff as the Arts and Culture Coordinator in November of 2019 after volunteering as an audio describer since 2017 and winning Audio Describer of the Year in 2018.

Accessibility

VocalEye Describer Cafés are free and open to audio describers, students, users of audio description, access providers, artists, performers and anyone interested in arts accessibility and professional development.

VocalEye is a non-profit society, registered charity and the first live descriptive arts service for the blind in Canada. Our mission is to provide greater access to theatre, arts and cultural events for people of all ages who are blind and partially sighted. We provide theatre companies and other arts organizations with the support necessary to make their productions and events more accessible to these audience members through live description, education, outreach and other services.
