Call for Applications: Operations Manager
The Victoria Symphony, one of British Columbia’s largest performing arts organizations, is heard annually by 140,000 people in nearly 60 main season concerts, education concerts, summer concerts, performances in Duncan and Qualicum Beach. A medium sized orchestra in size and scope, the Victoria Symphony is recognized as a leader in the promotion of Canadian new music.
We are seeking an experienced and responsible individual to serve as our Operations Manager for nine months from September 2022 to May 2023.
Reporting directly to the Orchestra Manager and the CEO, the Operations Manager supports all artistic performances of the Victoria Symphony. They will liaise with all Conductors and guest artists to ensure a positive experience and provide essential support for performances. Most importantly, the Operations Manager is responsible to ensure that all logistics and equipment are in place for the orchestra. They communicate regularly with the Orchestra Manager, providing timely updates and communications as required, and are present for all rehearsals and performances of the Victoria Symphony.
