Call for Applications: Elevators Residency Program

The Elevators Residency Program is a partnership between Impulse Theatre and Embrace Arts Foundation that supports micro-projects from local neurodiverse and disabled artists.

Up to 3 projects will receive one-on-one mentorship from Elevators Mentor, Tiffany Tjosvold. Tiffany (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and arts educator whose practices are rooted in movement and play. She is a chronically ill individual whose experience informs her desire to create accessible artistic spaces. Tiffany is also the founder of Embrace Arts Foundation, a multidisciplinary arts organization for individuals of all abilities.

Elevators is an opportunity for artists who want to create new work, receive mentorship, and share their ideas in a way that fits their current capacity. The program seeks projects in any style of performance including: dance, theatre, music, storytelling, and/or interdisciplinary work. Applicable projects must be led by a self identifying disabled and/or neurodivergent artists. Project participation can be in-person, or digitally. Priority is given to artists residing in Lekwungen/W̱SÁNEĆ territory.  The nature and scope of the mentorship is open to be negotiated/navigated by the artist(s) and Tiffany Tjosvold. Projects will be selected by a committee of Peek Fest staff.


  • Up to 5 hours of dedicated studio time between November 1st and 19th, 2022 (based on project need).
  • Mentorship with Tiffany Tjosvold throughout the Residency
  • $300 honorarium
  • Access to all specialized Peek Fest workshops
  • A showcase opportunity with other residency projects on November 19

Impulse Theatre’s Peek Fest is an annual festival on Lekwungen Territory/Victoria running November 1st through November 19th, 2022. The festival offers an exciting new look at work-in-development from some of the province’s most innovative creators and contributes to the development and growth of local arts workers through showcases, workshops, and community events.
