UN/making the Frame

Furthering her research into the act of unmaking, Canadian artist Jill Price draws on and out the history of Still Life painting to bring attention to the material histories and effects of objects as part of her new exhibit. An assemblage of material explorations that investigate how methods of unmaking and abstracting frames of reference leads to a deeper level of understanding, valuing and empathy for our multi-species ecologies, the installation is a multi-sensory experience that encourages visitors to help activate the space, visualize the "vibrancy” of things, and pay attention to how our exterior and interior worlds are physically and psychically linked. To read more about the exhibition, visit Akimbo.
