Job Opportunity: Chief Executive Officer

The Chief Executive Officer will report to the Board of Directors. Are you a sincere, compassionate, and driven individual? The Nina is an inspirational place with an incredible team in place. The Nina’s new CEO will work alongside the staff and board in a supportive capacity to build on the successes previously achieved and move towards a bright future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all activities of the organization align to the vision, mission, and mandate
  • Program management, maintaining relationships with program sponsors, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met, hiring/assigning of personnel to run programs
  • Preparation of annual budget for board approval
  • Ensuring open two-way communication within all levels of the organization

Requirements

  • Minimum post-secondary degree or diploma, with preference given to background in marketing, management, communications, public relations, policy, arts management or business/fund development
  • Experience in a not-for-profit setting, and experience serving on/reporting to a board of directors, an asset 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities

Since it was founded in 2003, the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts has been home to one of Edmonton’s most interesting art collectives, made up entirely of artists with developmental disabilities. What began as a collective of one has grown to include over 200 members. Their work is exhibited locally and across Canada, and has been included in international exhibitions.
