Co-Design Festival
Hosted by OCAD University
CNIB’s Research Team, Ontario Tech University and OCAD University are hosting a co-design festival and they'd love for you to join them! They're working with some of the leading researchers in their discipline of accessibility and are looking for participants who identify as blind, Deafblind, partially sighted, or living with sensory processing disabilities (ex., brain injury, neurodiversity) to attend in-person and virtual co-design sessions. Honoraria gift cards will be provided onsite after participating in each in-person session. This festival runs from February 23 - March 3 in Oshawa, Toronto and online. With over 15 different sessions, participants will be able to interact with new and emerging technologies, like virtual reality and information and communication technologies (known as ICTs). Other sessions will include artificial intelligence, inclusive employment, service delivery, and the development of digital skills for children and youth. Each session is part of an individual research project.
Accessibility
Session leads will ensure the use of accessible documents and presentations, where necessary. We will be providing ASL interpretation and CART for panel discussions. If you require an ASL interpreter, please contact the planning committee. Still have questions? Reach out to research@cnib.ca
