Accessibility Coordinator

The Arts Club Theatre Company is Canada’s largest not-for-profit urban theatre company. Now in its 57th season, the Arts Club offers professional live theatre at three venues, as well as on tour throughout the province.

Reporting to the Director of Education, the Accessibility Coordinator is responsible for providing guidance and counsel on accessibility issues by participating in the development and implementation of programs for artists, audiences and staff through an accessible and inclusive lens.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Artistic Director, Associate Artistic Director, Education and Outreach Coordinator and Human Resources Manager advising on best practices related to accessibility and inclusion opportunities for our three theatre venues, our studios and office spaces.

This is a part-time temporary opportunity for approximately one (1) year. Hours of work are flexible and will be primarily scheduled between Monday and Friday however, the successful candidate will be required to flex their hours from time to time to accommodate the requirements of this position.

The Arts Club also expands its audiences outside Vancouver through a three-show mini-season tour presented at venues around British Columbia. The 2018/2019 Arts Club season features six productions at the historic 650-seat Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage; five productions at the vibrant 440-seat Granville Island Stage; and four productions at the intimate 250-seat Goldcorp Stage at the BMO Theatre Centre.
