Call for Accessibility Consultant(s)

Hosted by The Conseil des arts de Montréal

Deadline to apply: October 15, 2020

In accordance with its strategic planning for 2018–2020, the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM) wishes to identify, acknowledge and support inclusive practices that promote the involvement and engagement of artists, cultural professionals and under-represented, excluded or marginalized audiences.

It is committed to ensuring accessibility for all Montrealers and recognizes that individuals with a mental illness, visible and invisible disabilities and members of the Deaf community, must have the same opportunities to access our programs and services as others do, in a manner that respects the dignity and autonomy of each individual.

In its review on accessibility, the Conseil held a series of meetings to consult with communities to better understand the needs and the avenues of action to implement to improve its accessibility practices. Several pilot actions have been completed and CAM is now interested in continuing its actions by creating and developing new welcoming and support measures based on feedback from the community consultations.
