Call for Applications: Technical Producer

Unsettling Dramaturgy is hiring a Technical Producer to support us with production of our public-facing events! The Technical Producer will:

  • Work closely with Unsettling Dramaturgy Co-Coordinating Artists, mia susan amir and DeLesslin George-Warren, and more intermittently with Unsettling Dramaturgy Creative Collaborators
  • Co-produce live and pre-recorded events including, identifying technical needs, solutions, and organizing approaches
  • Coordinate web-based accessibility services and purchases for regular convenings of the Creative Collaborators

We are looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience in web-based and digital producing through the lens of intersectional approaches to access
  • An understanding of Indigenized and decolonized approaches to web-based and digital organizing
  • The ability to thrive in a work culture that centres relationship, wellbeing, and disability justice

Location & Compensation:

  • Applicants can be located anywhere in the so-called United States or Canada but must have consistent access to computer and stable internet
  • Compensation is $2,400.00 (CAD) for work done between October 2020 – March 2021. Estimated at approximately 13 hours per month at a rate of $30.00/hour
  • Negotiable payment schedule
  • Possibility for continuation of this role depending on the success of future grant applications
