Fall Season Full of Zoom

Almost Live events are scheduled Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm and the last Sunday of the month at 1:30 pm

Join host Amy Amantea for a new season of free and accessible Virtual VocalEye Zoom events! Details will be posted to the VocalEye website soon as they are confirmed.

Virtual tour of Kent Monkman’s Shame and Prejudice art exhibit at the Museum of Anthropology, with special guest curator Issaku Inami

Buffoon, described theatre performance from the Arts Club, with describer Ingrid Turk

Wednesday, November 25 at 6:30 pm
Flight Paths, an interactive adventure from Extant Theatre, with special guest Sarah Houbolt zooming in from Australia

Wednesday, December 2 at 6:30 pm
Romeo and Juliet, a 90-minute adaptation of this classic tale of star-crossed lovers with description from Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre

Wednesday, December 9 at 6:30 pm
Holiday Lockdown with Tippi & Stan, an evening of storytelling and song with special guest Dorothy Dittrich

Wednesday, December 16 at 6:30 pm
The 12 Dates of Christmas, a fun and flirty spin on the holidays from the Arts Club, with describer Eileen Barrett

VocalEye’s Fall Season Full of Zoom will include a variety of described performances (theatre, opera, dance), festival highlights, visual art tours, described film screenings, cultural tours, local artists and other special guests.

    Our mission is to provide greater access to theatre, arts and cultural events for people of all ages who are blind and partially sighted. We provide theatre companies and other arts organizations with the support necessary to make their productions and events more accessible to these audience members through live description, education, outreach and other services.
