In Solitude, Unity

Hosted by Arts AccessAbility Network Manitoba

Location

329 Cumberland Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1T2, Canada

8pm-11pm

Arts AccessAbility Network Manitoba (AANM) is proud to present our juried exhibition “In Solitude, Unity”.

Often those with disabilities are isolated from the larger community as a result of physical or social barriers. With the need to self-isolate during the pandemic, the general community has experienced the solitude that those with disabilities often face in their daily lives. This experience has made the larger community more aware of the issues faced by those with disabilities and we are beginning to see more accessibility being offered, such as curb side pickups, online exhibitions and presentations, etc. This exhibition celebrates the unity that the disability community has experienced with the larger population as we have all had to live in solitude these last few months.

From 8pm-11pm AANM will be digitally projecting the exhibition at 329 Cumberland Ave. in the East parking lot. There will be light music as well as pre-packaged drinks and snacks.

All guest are strongly encouraged to wear masks and social distance while visiting the outdoor space. If you do not have a mask, we will have masks available. All visitors are also encouraged to use this self-screening tool before attending the event.
